The technical teams of the Communications and Media Commission (CMC) have begun an extensive field monitoring campaign to measure the quality indicators of internet and mobile phone services in Baghdad and a number of governorates.
The measurements cover download and upload speeds, response time, and service interruption rates, using internationally accredited measurement systems.
The results of the campaign will be used as a basis for regulatory measures against companies that fail to comply with the contracted quality levels.
